Dr. Jennifer Pham understands firsthand what it means to struggle with dental health. Growing up in Vietnam without access to proper dental care, she experienced the challenges of poor oral health at an early age. This personal journey sparked her determination to help others avoid similar struggles and create the confident, beautiful smiles they deserve.

After moving to the United States, Dr. Jennifer pursued her passion for dentistry with dedication. She earned her Biochemistry degree from Baylor University in 2011, graduating magna cum laude, before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery at West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2015. There, she received top honors in Periodontics, Prosthodontics, and Community Dentistry—recognition of both her skill and commitment. It was also where she met her husband and dental partner, Dr. Philip Pham.

Dr. Jennifer hasn't stopped learning. She holds certifications in Invisalign, non-invasive composite veneers, cosmetic porcelain work, laser dentistry, implantology, and facial aesthetics. Her patients benefit from this comprehensive expertise, receiving care that is both technically excellent and beautifully tailored.

As a mom of three young children, Dr. Jennifer brings a special understanding to family dental care. She's created a practice where kids and adults alike feel comfortable and at ease. When not caring for patients, she enjoys cooking, dancing, singing, and creating memories through family travel—showing her children the beauty and diversity our world offers.

Dr. Philip Pham brings both scientific knowledge and artistic talent to North Star Dental. With a double major in Chemistry and Biology and a minor in Music from Marshall University—where he graduated summa cum laude—Dr. Philip combines precision with creativity in his dental approach.

Dr. Philip met his wife, Dr. Jennifer, at West Virginia University School of Dentistry, where they both earned their Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees in 2015. Together, they've built a practice that feels truly like a family affair.

Certified in Invisalign and laser dentistry, Dr. Philip offers patients cutting-edge treatment options and is especially skilled in Invisalign care.

While Dr. Jennifer focuses on cosmetic procedures, Dr. Philip excels at root canals and extractions. This complementary expertise allows their practice to handle a wide range of dental needs under one roof, creating a seamless experience for their patients.

With 38 years of experience, Dr. Moore brings unparalleled expertise to North Star Dental. His knowledge comes not just from decades of practice, but from continued education throughout his career.

Dr. Moore completed Advanced Education in General Dentistry and holds a Preceptorship in Dental Implants from the University of Texas Health Science Center. This specialized training allows him to handle complex cases with confidence and skill.

Patients appreciate Dr. Moore's calm demeanor and thorough approach. His years of experience mean he's likely seen and successfully treated almost any dental condition you might encounter, making him an invaluable part of our team.

Dr. Pauline Nguyen brings fresh perspective and advanced training to North Star Dental. As a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) who graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in 2015, she combines technical skill with a gentle approach that puts patients at ease.

Dr. Nguyen has pursued certification in key areas including laser dentistry and Invisalign. These additional qualifications allow her to offer patients minimally invasive treatment options with excellent results.

Her approach to patient care focuses on education and prevention, taking time to explain procedures and helping patients understand how to maintain their dental health between visits. Dr. Nguyen is particularly skilled at making nervous patients feel comfortable through her calm, reassuring manner.

Dr. Alon Shalev brings 19 years of specialized periodontal experience to North Star Dental. As a Board-Certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Surgeon, he offers advanced expertise for patients with complex gum conditions or implant needs.

With certification in Conscious IV Sedation, Dr. Shalev ensures that even the most anxious patients can receive comfortable care for advanced procedures. His completion of an Advanced Education Program in Periodontology reflects his deep commitment to his specialty.

Beyond clinical excellence, Dr. Shalev holds a Master's in Health Management and Administration, bringing valuable perspective to patient care planning and treatment coordination. This dual expertise benefits patients through thoughtfully structured treatment plans that consider both clinical needs and practical considerations.

Nancy brings over 25 years of experience as a dental hygienist and has been a valued member of our practice for the past five years. She is a proud two-time graduate of Texas Woman’s University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene as well as her master’s degree in Family Science and Higher Education.

Known for her gentle touch and caring personality, Nancy’s favorite part of her role is building strong relationships with her patients and helping them feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. She is passionate about making every appointment a positive experience while supporting her patients’ long-term oral health.

Outside the office, Nancy enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. A fun fact about her: she’s also an amazing decorator and organizer, talents that reflect her eye for detail and creativity both inside and outside the dental chair.
